Figuring it all out

I went swimming with the family this morning and it felt really good.  I haven't been in a pool in a long time, so it was a nice break.  We we were there for about 1.5 hours and then went for a card ride, while the kid slept in the back seat.

I am a bit tired today, but resting up for my birthday tomorrow!!  I cannot believe that I am another year older.  Time flies!!

Also this week, I've been messing around with my food.  I am trying to see what food items causes fluctuations on the scale.   Lets just say (and I already knew this, but needed validation), carbs and I don't get along. :-(  I love carbs too; however, I got to start figuring out what works for me.  Oatmeal does not keep me as full as scrambled eggs or a chicken breast. For me, I need protein and I'm looking for ways to include more protein in my diet. Carbs also make me bloat! OMG!!  White rice....not a good situation!  Starting on Tuesday (husband is taking me to dinner tomorrow night for my b-day), I'm going to focus more on lower my carb intake.

I thought about doing a fast or cleanse (my friend is doing a cleanse right now), but I shall see how I feel on Tuesday.

Swimming sounds so good right now...especially in hot Houston, TX. Happy early birthday! I found your blog a few weeks ago and just lurked around reading your posts...which are very motivating by the way.

Happy Birthday! Cancers rule(my bday was last Monday. You have to find something that works for you. I have never done a cleanse but my wife and I both use a fast.

We never go a day without eating instead on 1 or 2 days out of the week we only have a snack and dinner.
