Quick Post

  • I survived the Rock and Roll 1/2 Marathon.  I will recap and show you my bling. 
  • I realized that I'm so out of shape, so my friend (who I did the 1/2 with) and I have vowed to get in shape for the Seattle 1/2 Marathon in November (I may have the bug people).  
  • My daughter may have broken her foot.  We will find out for sure tomorrow. I hope it is just a bad sprain.
  • It is late here and I have to hit the hay.  I will update tomorrow.

Ya know it!

Although my mojo has been waning, I'm working on getting it back in full force.  I've been going to the gym, reading blogs for inspiration, and I'm excited for my 1/2 marathon.  I'm nervous about the 1/2, but really excited to partake in something that 3 years ago, I would have never even considered attempting.

So, praying that my mojo comes on in full force.  I'm thinking of trying BodyPump at the gym on Tuesday.  Has anyone tried it?  What do you think?

One day at a time...

Just taking it one day at a time, that is all I can do right now.  I'm PMS'ing too, which isn't helping with my mood (my poor hubby).  Anyway, I need to catch on my blog reading and get back to posting on the regular!  Thank you, if you are still reading this! :-)

Checking In

I'm alive.  I am trying to get motivated, but when life hands you lemons, you don't always want lemonade.  So, I am working, networking and discussing with the hubby on good relocation places.  We are open to relocating, but trying to find a city with jobs (somewhat difficult) and decent cost of living (I know we are asking for a lot here).  If we are going to do it, we need to do it while our daughter is young and since he is unemployed and we have possible bites on our house, we really don't have anything keeping us here.

I'm still doing the 1/2 marathon on the 25th.  My training was bumpy with two bouts of bronchitis, but even if I have to walk it, I'm going to finish it.  My weight has stalled big time and I keep gaining and losing the same 5-10lbs over and over.  It happens in a matter of days too...In 3 days I can lose it and then in 3 days, it comes back on.  I need to focus on my weight loss again, start blogging and logging my food.  It would give me one thing in my life that I can control.

The weather here sucks too.  It is gloomy here in the northwest but that is okay for now, but I do want sun soon.  The weather is another reason I'm seriously contemplating relocation.  Maybe a sunny location?
